Feeling Evie come on my fingers was hands-down the hottest fucking experience of my life. Judging by the sultry, needful gaze she sent my way, I wager she felt the same.

Driving her to my place in my truck, I see her pass me a fleeting glance, then another, but whenever I try to snare that eye contact she flicks her gaze away.

“Is everything alright, baby?” I finally ask. “If this is all too fast we can slow down—”

“No.” At a stoplight she turns her face to me, and this time she doesn’t look away. Her blue eyes are wet with lust. Damn, she’s pretty. “I guess I’m just feeling a little…shy, all of a sudden,” whispers Evie.

I reach over to brush her hair off her cheek. “You don’t need to be shy, sweetheart. This is all crazy-new to me too.”

“That’s just it. What I’m feeling for you right now, Noah…it isn’t new.” She looks straight ahead as the light turns green. “I’ve actually had a crush on you for a really long time.”

There’s no one behind me so I don’t go just yet. I wait for that desire-filled expression of hers to find its way to me again. It does.

“You…had feelings for me…before?” I ask.

Evie’s hesitation falls away as she twines her arm through mine, inching her body closer to me. “Do you remember when I was eleven and you were fifteen and I fell off my bike in front of your house?”

“Yes.” I chuckle. “You were so cute in your pigtails and little short-shorts.” I swallow dryly. “You’ve liked me…since then?”

“No, I kind of hated you then,” she laughs. “I was so embarrassed I didn’t know how else to feel. I assumed you’d be a jerk like every guy and blab to the whole world about Beau’s clumsy, dorky little sister. But, you never mentioned it. To anyone. And you always had this way about you, this confidence, this…swagger. You were so handsome and not at all arrogant.”

“Evie…” I let my voice trail off as I look into her beautiful face, feeling the contours of all her delicious curves pressed against me. A car’s horn honks behind us, making me step on the gas. I don’t have to ask why she never told me how she felt. We both know Beau would’ve never approved back then.

I can’t help but wonder if he really approves of us even now, or if he only said yes to keep me from quitting and leaving him shorthanded for Christmas. I would never do that. But neither would I let that stop me from being with Evie. Not her brother, nor anything else.

Now that I’ve had a taste of her, I know full well it won’t be enough. This girl is mine now, and I will never be done with her.

Evie lays her head on my shoulder as I drive. “Thanks for taking me out tonight,” she says softly against my chest. “I’m having such a nice time with you, Noah.”

“More to come,” I toss her a wink as she sits up.
